Sharón Bacigalupi is a Licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist through the
National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, the
Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine and the state of
California Acupuncture Board. Sharón began her studies at
Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego, CA and graduated
from the
New England School of Acupuncture in Newton, MA where she obtained her
Masters Degree in Oriental Medicine. Prior to attending NESA, she
completed a Bachelor's Degree in Biology/Pre-Medical Studies and a Masters Degree in Public Health in San Diego, CA.
Having
a Master’s Degree in Public Health, Sharón has the unique ability to
integrate Traditional Chinese Medicine with her understanding of social and lifestyle
implications, which often affect a person’s health. This background
allows her to better assist her patients in achieving and maintaining
their ultimate health goals.
Sharón is extensively trained in both Chinese and Japanese styles of acupuncture, non-insertive acupuncture (where needles to do not penetrate the skin), herbal medicine, tui na massage and many other modalities commonly used in TCM. Her style of acupuncture is known to be very gentle and surprises even those who are initially fearful of the use of needles. Sharón's wide array of treatment styles allows her to treat each patient in a way that will be most suitable to improving their health.
After 4 years of study, completion of her Master's Degree in Oriental Medicine and national licensing exams, Sharón established Turning Leaf Acupuncture, creating a
clinic where her patients would receive quality care from compassionate
and dedicated practitioners. In order to provide her patients with the
best care, Sharón continues to attend seminars on both eastern and
western medicine so that she may stay abreast of any advances and
discoveries which may be of benefit to her patients.
